About Budapest Bike Breeze
Our guided bicycle tours are the best way to discover this wonderful city. At a comfortable pace we will let you experience all famous sites around Budapest, including UNESCO world heritage sites, as well as many hidden treasures this exciting city has to offer.
Interactive sightseeing tours run with small groups (under 12 person), intimate atmosphere and safety is guaranteed.
The routes are carefully chosen, using cycle lanes, riding through parks, car-free streets.
Budapest is bike friendly city with a developing bike route system.
Tours include comfortable bikes, local meal, refreshments, professional local guides.
We welcome families with small children as well, bikes for kids and children seats are available.

We are young Hungarian tour guides in love with our capital city, Budapest. We are committed to bike riding in Budapest and healthy lifestyle. Working with backpackers and tourists for 8 years, we know your needs.
We believe that the best and easiest way to see Budapest is by bike. We will show you the best of Budapest and recommend activities to do, sights to see after the tour, including the best places to eat, drink, and go out.

We only ride in car free areas, bike lanes, parks. It is absolutely a safe ride.
The bike tour starts in the center of Budapest near Deák square. At the first stop we give you useful orientation and summary of Budapest’s past and present.
From Deak square we bike along the prettiest avenue of Budapest, Andrassy road, which is listed as UNESCO world heritage. We stop to see and explain about the State Opera House and with a pleasant ride soon arrive to Heroes’ square.
With all the statues of Hungary’s most famous statesman we are in the right place to explain and let you understand the origins and past of Hungarian nation.
We enter the lush City park and passing the lake, arrive to the Vajdahunyad Castle where you can admire Hungarian architecture.
During our bike ride back to the center we stop at the House of Terror and St.Stephen’s Basilica.
Soon we make a turn towards the House of Parliament, but before arriving there we stop by at Szabadság square, where you will see and learn about a Soviet army memorial.
Our ride back is along the Danube, an amazing bike route with great scenery.

FAQs
We always stop at each site, so there’s plenty of time to take great pictures!
The tour starts in all weather conditions. In case of rain we provide rain ponchos free of charge. In case of very severe rain/thunderstorm we might wait until it stops in a dry place. Please dress according to the daily weather forecast and bring warm clothes, jacket if necessary.
Our bikes are brand new high quality tracking bicycles with 24 gears in all sizes.
E-bikes available.
Children, junior bikes, child seats and helmets are available.
The tour concludes at our bike store.
Each bike has a luggage rack, perfect for small bags or extra layers. Larger bags can be left in our shop during the tour.

I went on the Wheels & Meals bike tour. It was nothing short of incredible. The guide was knowledgeable and efficient. We were able to see so much of the city and gain a basic understanding of a culturally rich history. We stopped for goulash soup near one of the thermal baths, which provided a great way to interact with other travelers. I especially enjoyed the trip to Margaret Island. I'm an experienced cyclist, but it seems like the other members of the bike tour who didn't ride regularly were able to keep up. Other than the wonderful views, my favorite part of the tour was the guide. He provided extra details for me knowing I was American, like pointing out the American Embassy and a statue of George Washington in one of the parks. He was also very attractive, which didn't hurt! Thank you for showing our group this fantastic city.
Cat ConnerThis a a fabulous way to see this beautiful city. Our guide John was informative and very helpful. Very suitable for novice riders. It is easy, slow, flat riding so if you’re looking for a solid workout, this is probably not for you. However for a city highlights package, it’s perfect.

He did an excellent job of showing us the city and providing a compelling review of Hungarian history. It was supposed to be a group tour, but only we booked for that time. Rather than cancelling the tour, the company went ahead and provided us with a private tour. I am so very grateful for that excellent service. The tour is on the Pest side (no hills), and covered an extensive area of the city. The bikes were of a really nice quality (much better than I had expected) making it that much more enjoyable. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to get a feel for the city and Hungary.

In truth, the tour was only supposed to be 4.5 hours but it lasted closer to 6. We didn’t mind! Other bike tours might rush you along or cut the ride short, but Greg was flexible and again, the tour felt relaxed and easy going. Totally our speed! It’s also extremely reasonably priced. Special thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Greg for touring us around Buda AND Pest. We will definitely book again when we are next in a Budapest 🙂
