USAGE OF COOKIES AND COLLECTED ANALYTICS

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. In case of activation of the IP anonymization, Google will truncate/anonymize the last octet of the IP address for Member States of the European Union as well as for other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases, the full IP address is sent to and shortened by Google servers in the USA. WEATHER CONDITIONS

Tours take place rain or shine; Rain ponchos are available free of charge.
If weather conditions de not allow a bike tour, BBB can instead propose a different date or type of tour.

ROUTES

An exact adherence to the planned route and running order of the tour cannot be guaranteed. Therefore Budapest Bike Breeze reserves the right to change the route or the tour content, in the event of impediments such as building sites or road blockages, or similar unforeseen occurrences during the tour. In this case, tour participants will be immediately informed. Each guide may make appropriate changes to the tour as the given conditions require. Tours will take place irrespective of weather conditions provided that the safety of the participants is not at risk.

INSURANCE

Cycling has inherent risks attached to it and Budapest Bike Breeze shall not be liable for any damages relating to loss of property or injury of any kind to any participant. It is the responsibility of each participant to take out travel and personal accident insurance cover. Therefore, you must be adequately insured against personal injury, medical expenses arising from accident or injury, property loss, theft or damage.

By reserving a tour or meeting your guide to join the daily tour with us you will be deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions of service of which this Disclaimer is part.

Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize and accept the dangers, risks and hazards inherent in any cycling tour activity.

PERSONAL INSURANCE

Budapest Bike Breeze shall not be liable for injury, damages, death, accident or delay to person or loss or damage to property due to negligence or default of any third party rendering any service included in the tour. You are responsible for any loss or damage to baggage, bicycles or personal possession or any consequential loss there from. You are also responsible for the safekeeping of all your valuables.

You must be adequately insured against personal injury, medical expenses arising from accident or injury, property loss, theft or damage. All participants must provide proof of applicable personal accident and travel insurance cover before the commencement of the tour and on request.

RESPONSIBILITIES

All participants must agree to observe local laws and ensure that their conduct in no way puts at risk the welfare of any participant at an event or during a cycle tour.

Accepting confirmation of a booking and / or joining a daily tour signifies agreement and therefore during a tour if your conduct is considered by the tour and/or event organizers to be detrimental to the welfare of other tour and/or event participants in the group, you may be asked to leave the tour and/or event without right to a refund.

SAFETY

When you book a cycling tour with Budapest Bike Breeze, you undertake to conduct yourself in a manner that does not put at risk your own safety and that of other participants on the tour. In addition you accept all risks of the road and bicycle-paths of Budapest including challenging terrain, road hazards, road-posts and signs, vehicles on the road, hazards from other cyclists and other road users.

PHYSICAL ABILITY

It is the responsibility of the participant to determine his or her level of bike and road handling ability and whether or not our cycling tour is suitable for the individual concerned. Participants accept all risks to their physical well-being associated with this activity, such as their ability to withstand exposure to the elements, level and extent of physical exertion, tolerance and endurance. We make no assumption about any cycling skill or equipment fitness or physical fitness levels of any participant.

Participants will be using public roads and bicycle-paths while out cycling and it is for the participants to decide whether or not their cycle equipment, cycling speed, physical endurance and/or bike and road handling are of an appropriate standard for a given tour.

EQUIPMENT

Budapest Bike Breeze bikes are regularly serviced and maintained, still Budapest Bike Breeze is not liable for damage caused by insufficient working order of either Budapest Bike Breeze bicycles, or their own private bicycles used on the tour. Participants must check the working order of their bikes themselves before the tour starts.

Budapest Bike Breeze provide helmets, high visibility vest on request.

CANCELLATION

Unfortunately, we cannot refund any portion of anybody’s payment if they miss the tour without any notice whatsoever to us beforehand. 
When desired, we can almost always switch dates free of charge with as little as almost no notice (last minute), however, we make no promises to this extent. The sooner a change of reservation is requested, the more likely it is that we can accommodate the request. One day is often sufficient. Two days is better. With 3 or more days’ notice, we can usually offer you an alternative tour, free of charge. 

As for refunds for reservations being canceled, our policy is as follows:

• 0% with less than 12 hours prior to departure time
• 25% for notice given btw. 12 and 24 hours prior to departure time
• 50% for notice given btw. 24 hrs and 7 days prior to departure time
• 90% for cancellations made 7 or more days prior to the departure date

The bike tours run in all weather conditions except in the case of (severely) adverse weather conditions or other cataclysmic catastrophes. In each of these cases, the company Budapest Bike Breeze maintains the right to use its own discretion when deciding the appropriateness of the excursion conducted.
